Remeber, there is no advantage to a 3 drive RAID 5.

you get the same usable capacity as a Mirror (RAID 1)

I would Mirror and use the third drive for a hot spare, or for a mirror set for your transanctional logs - actualy your transactional logs are kinda important - I would make sure they are mirrored.
